These crispy samosas with spiced potatoes filling are perfect for your tea party or movie time snack.
Samosas are a popular snack in the local cuisines of the Indian subcontinent, Western Asia, Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, the Horn of Africa, North Africa, and Southern Africa. Due to cultural diffusion and emigration from these areas, samosas in today’s world are also prepared in other regions.

Ingredients

For dough:

  • 2cups All_purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Carom seeds
  • 4 tbsp desi ghee /oil
  • 150ml water

For stuffing:

  • 2 tbsp Desi ghee/oil
  • 2tbsp Garlic (chopped)
  • 2tbsp ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 3 (chopped) green chilies
  • 1 (one medium size) onion
  • 1 tsp nigella seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 600g boiled potatoes
  • cilantro chopped half a cup
